On February 12, 2024, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) revealed the details of the draw held on January 30, 2024, in which 22 aspiring immigrants were invited under the Priority Sector - Healthcare occupations with a job offer letter and a minimum CRS score of 312 to be eligible.

What are the basic eligibility criteria for Alberta Express Entry – Dedicated Healthcare Pathway?

The qualifying requirements for the Alberta Express Entry Stream, specifically for the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) category-based selections in 2023, are as follows:
• Candidates must have a primary occupation listed in an acceptable National Occupational Classification (NOC) code.

• Valid and verified job offer from an Alberta company in the healthcare industry. The job offer must be for a qualified healthcare professional.
• Candidates must submit verifiable proof of satisfying the minimum requirements set by the relevant regulatory organization.

What occupations are qualified for the Alberta PNP healthcare stream?
Eligible healthcare professions under this pathway, and the relevant regulatory agency liable for verification of ability to practice in Alberta, are:

• Physicians – College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)

• Registered Nurses (RNs) – College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)

• Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) – College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)

• Nurse Practitioners (NPs) – College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
