What are the eligibility criteria to apply for skilled workers?
The following are the requirements for eligibility in the Skilled Worker Stream:
1. The candidate needs to have a full-time, permanent work offer with no expiration date from a B.C. company (indeterminate).
2. The applicant must meet the requirements for the position for which they have been offered and have a job that falls within NOC (National Occupational Classification) categories 0, 1, 2, or 3.
3. A minimum of two years of full-time experience in NOC categories 0, 1, 2, or 3 (or an equivalent amount of experience).
4. You must fulfil the minimal standards for linguistic proficiency.
5. The wage rates in British Columbia for the occupation should be in line with your offer.
6. Give evidence of your ability to support yourself and any dependents financially.
7. Your employer must accept your application and fulfil specific conditions.
