What to expect from the latest Express Entry draws?
There are no alterations to the Express Entry categories in 2024. On the IRCC update email, it is stated that the Express Entry categories for 2024 remain the same as those carried over from 2023.
Available are six types of Express Entry categories: workers working in trades, health, STEM, transportation, and agriculture and agrifood sectors.
An internal IRCC memo shows that in 2024, the most prominent will be the French proficiency category, at 30% of ITAs to qualified candidates. Another 25% will go to STEM fields and 15% to the healthcare sector. The remaining 30% of the total will be made up of: trade occupations 5% transportation occupations 3% agricultural and agri-food occupations 0.5% General draws—what will probably take the remaining 21.5% as the IRCC has not committed to a target.
