What might we anticipate from upcoming Express Entry Draws?
The Express Entry categories for 2024 won't change. According to an email update from the IRCC, the Express Entry categories for 2024 will remain the same, carrying over from 2023.
The following six categories are available for Express Entry: workers in the trades, healthcare, STEM, transportation, and agriculture and agrifood sectors.
An internal IRCC memo states that in 2024, the French proficiency category will take precedence, with 30% of ITAs going to qualified candidates, 25% to STEM fields, and 15% to the healthcare industry. Trade occupations (5%), transportation occupations (3%), agricultural and agri-food occupations (0.5%), and general draws (generic draws will likely receive the remaining 21.5% as the IRCC has not committed to a target) will make up the remaining 30% of the total.
