In an announcement on 4th of December 2023, James Cleverly the home secretary of the United Kingdom announced changes to come in visa rules where he stated that the “Five-point plan” the purpose behind theses changes is to reduce immigration. Then on the 21st of December, 2023, another announcement was made through the Home Office providing more information and including some adjustments made to what had initially been announced. The changes have not yet been made but a timeline for the changes to be implemented has already been shared on 30th January, 2024.
